Detection of Cymbidium mosaic virus and Odontoglossum ringspot virus in Phalaenopsis in Korea

The primary purpose of this study was to examine the effects virus infection in Phalaenopsis cultivated across country. RT-PCR analysis used detect two major viruses orchid: CymMV and ORSV. rate vitro plantlets from 45 cultivars 83.6%, potted plants 21 92.5%. For CymMV, single 34.3%, for ORSV, it 11.4%. In case plants, with 57.0%, ORSV alone not detected. double both viruses, accounted 37.9% 35.5%. No found ‘V3’ imported Taiwan. Plants infected showed chlorotic necrotic spots on leaves color break petals sepals flowers, those featured yellow striped or mosaic symptoms.
